  • Sugar15 g
  • Ground cardamom2 g
  • Saffron0.2 g
  • Water180 ml
  • Olive oil450 ml
  • Date syrup70 ml

Let’s make it

  1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar and cardamom; add saffron water. Leave to rise 40 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a stable pan to 170°C. Drop small balls of batter in batches and fry until golden; drain.

  3. Drizzle with date syrup. Keep children clear of hot oil and never pour water into it.
